Abstract


This study aims to improve listening skills fifth grade students of elementary schools PGSD Partners FKIP Unsri Palembang through models Paired Storytelling by using media audio-visual. The method used in this research is qualitative research in the form of action. The subjects were all students of fifth grade SD Negeri 238 Palembang and SD Negeri 24 Palembang. This research is collaborative, so that researchers and the class teacher can collaborate. The data collection is done by using the test results of performance tests of learning and listening skills. Therefore, it is a matter of research instruments and performance assessment rubric listening skills. This action research was conducted in cycles in which each cycle consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Cycle in this study consisted of two meetings. Based on data from the average value of listening skills, it is known that an increase from 57.5 in the first cycle to 74.5 in the second cycle. Therefore, this study ended in the second cycle. Based on the results of research and data analysis concluded that the application of media audio visuals can improve students' listening skills fifth grade students of elementary schools PGSD Partners FKIP Unsri Palembang through models Paired Storytelling.
